Set up 2FA for Amazon on your Mac

Amazon supports authenticator apps for two-factor authentication. Here’s how to set it up with Quick Authenticator on your Mac.

1. Sign in to Amazon and open the security settings: Amazon security settings

   Path in the English interface: Your Account › Login & security › 2-step verification › Authenticator App

2. Choose to set up an authenticator app. Amazon shows a QR code.
3. In Quick Authenticator, click + and hold the QR code up to your Mac’s camera, drop a screenshot of it onto the window, or paste the setup key.
4. Enter the current code from Quick Authenticator to confirm.
5. Save the backup codes Amazon gives you in a safe place.
